Opinión de un comprador: I’ve been waiting for a book like this to come out. It superbly explains the reality of our subjetivo place in the universe and moves on from the paradigm, originating in the renaissance, where good objective science deemed (and generally still does) that the observer is to be separated from his/her observations as much as possible. The reality is that experiments are designed by the observer, performed by the observer and also mentally processed by the observer.
What our five senses perceive as sexy, hard, bitter, loud, bright are psicológico ‘Gestalts’ - a espiritual whole concept that is experienced as a feeling. The feeling (Gestalt) that we experience is the ONLY reality of our observations and everything else that we infer from our observation is derived from our Gestalts.
Our sight and sound senses can be quite complex. When we take in a light vision of our world, we also have the cognitive ability to process this data as a Gestalt. We are able to extract shapes and relevance from this data. For example, we may process a triangle or motion from the data. Both are only comprehensibly possible as Gestalt wholes. Again, these are whole feelings that we experience. Something a sequential processing computer is unable to do.
When we think about the temperature at the centre of the sun, the pressure inside a neutron star, the distance to the furthest galaxies or the size of an atomic nucleus, we sospeché these things in relation to our senses and Gestalts that we have developed in our entorno on planet earth. That is our only way to comprehend these concepts - through our feelings. We transpose these concepts onto our repertoire of feelings and that is how we conceptualise these things.
The feelings we experience when we sospeché these things can be overwhelmingly incompressible at times. That may be to do with the fact that our feelings that we experience do not map to the entity that we are trying to comprehend very well.
We must acknowledge these sense feelings for what they are - that we experience a repertoire of Gestalts that have evolved in our species over millennia in order to survive and replicate.
If instead we sospeché that each one of us are part of a specific static mathematical structure and that everything that happens to us is constrained by this structure, we may better come to understand the true ontology of our existence. See Our mathematical Universe by Max Tegmark. We no longer have to relate the inside of a neutron star with an unimaginable pressure or sospeché an extremely sexy star. These phenomena are just an aspect of the mathematical structure that constrain our individual existence. The phenomena are just differences in mathematical magnitude.
Time and existence become more comprehensible with this change in paradigm. Imagine the mathematical structure. A tiny part of this mathematical structure is you - like say an individual leaf on a tree. You are part of this universe. This leaf is segmented into a finite number of Gestalt experiences. If the duration of a Gestalt feeling takes 3 seconds to experience and you live to cien years then there are about 1.7 billion individual ‘you’s’ experiencing life. Each individual ‘you’, if human, are able to process a Gestalt that recognises itself as an existing and thinking ‘you’.
Each ‘you’ has a memory (mathematical structure) of its past you’s. The you’s are also able to process Gestalts that project the individuals you’s (that it holds in memory) to sospeché future you’s. That is why we produce Gestalts that sospeché a flow of time. The sequence of you’s with different Universe entropy values. The flow of time that we sospeché are you’s starting with a universe with a lower entropy to those ‘you’s’ in a universe with higher entropy. Note: The Universes mentioned here are part of the static mathematical structure - the totality.
I think in his book Charles Pinter missed the opportunity to discuss the flow of time as a Gestalt. See The End of Time by Julian Barbour.
I found the book to be light on the explanation on Qbism which seemed to me to be the aim for the book. I have now ordered: The Future of quantum Physics
Baeyer, Lili von to get a clearer picture on this book’s relevance to Qbism.

On a plus side there are copious references which I can investigate.
The book is a nice size.
There are few or no equations in this book.
